Vertical Jump Calculator

Ever wondered how high you can jump? Using Vertical Jump Calculator, you can do just that! This app will work out approximately how high you jump using Physics equations. No additional hardware required! To use, simply tap and hold the start button when your feet leave the ground, and release once your feet return to the ground.

This app uses your altitude to determine the gravitational forces experienced when you jump. As all objects fall at an equal rate (providing there is no wind resistance), the height at which you fall from is found, which is equal to the jump height.

The app heavily relies on the users ability to accurately time the jump. Now you can record a jump on camera, and then precisely trim the clip so that it begins as your feet leave the ground and finishes when your feet return. This uses the same equations and methods, however is far easier to use.

NEW FEATURE: Record your vert by simply placing your phone in your pocket. The app uses the accelerometer to determine the changes in forces to calculate your vert. Note, the thresholds and algorithms used will be updated in this section to become more accurate, and you will be notified upon updating.
